When I was eighteen, a family friend introduced my mom to her brother-in-law, a banker and a well-known astrologer. He did my chart and said, due to divine grace, that my third eye was open and that I had the gift of prophecy. He trained me in astrology. Nobody in my family was into it. I came from a family of pretty left brain people, my dad being a military general.
As I started doing people’s charts for fun, all the predictions would be accurate. My folks still didn’t take it seriously. When someone would approach me, then a young teenager , to do their charts and say to my folks, “We’ve heard your daughter is very accurate in her predictions,” they would shrug their shoulders and say, “Yeah, we heard it too!” But they would never consult me for anything.
The turning point came when I predicted the assassination of our then-Prime Minister as a young kid, almost five years before it happened. In fact, my teacher disagreed with me saying it would just be a crisis and she would overcome it. I told him she wouldn’t. And he sighed and said. “Well my knowledge is bookish. I have studied this science for 25 plus years but you have that gift of clairvoyance that I don’t have. So we shall see.”
Years later when it happened I still have the letter my dad wrote me: "I cannot believe your 'horror scope' reading done so long ago is that accurate.” And then another letter from my folks found its way to me soon after: “We are planning to open a Montessori school. Can you do the charts and see what would be an auspicious time?”
While I knew a lot about Astrology, Yoga and Ayurveda, Vast and Feng Shui were alien words. I was given access to some very ancient Vedic texts which covered Vast and astrology, when I was in training but I would just jump ahead and go straight to the Astrology section. I did however notice that some houses, some office spaces were lucky for me and others were not.
Now those out of print texts have become a treasure trove of information. It was a few years ago that I seriously started studying Vast and Fengshui, I have constantly experimented to see what was true and what didn’t hold water. That has become even more critical now because the internet is strewn with so much misinformation.
One of the biggest problems that I have is the fact that many people are trying to pass off Vast Shastra as Fengshui, calling it Indian Feng Shui. The fact remains that Vaastu is over 10,000 years old and Feng Shui‘s earliest origins seem to be traced it back to 3500 years ago.
I have personally trained and experimented with both and while there are some meeting points because Feng shui is derived from Vast, the scope and structure and accuracy of Vast Shastra far surpasses that of Fengshui.
I hope to bring different energetic healing tools for balance and abundance to my audience through this website, workshops, and my personal experiences of what has worked or not worked.
Watch the space for continued updates.
